Alderley Edge Symphony Orchestra is the new name of the former Alderley Edge Orchestra, originally set up in in 1922. Following the appointment of Richard Howarth as President and Chief Conductor and the engagement of professional conductors in recent years, our new name reflects the broader and more ambitious repertoire that has become the hallmark of our concerts.

The orchestra gives four concerts each year at Alderley Edge Festival Hall or Alderley Edge Methodist Church. For details of the 2018-19 season, click here.

We also hold a full-day Workshop each year to explore and perform larger scale compositions.
